Diesel Motor Mechanic | Industrial | Australia

Our client is seeking an experienced Diesel Motor Mechanic to join their team within the industrial sector. This is an excellent opportunity to secure a long-term role with consistent work, supporting the maintenance and repair of a wide range of diesel-powered equipment.

This role is ideal for mechanics with strong diagnostic skills and hands-on experience across mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems, particularly in both workshop and on-site environments.

About the Role:

Inspect, diagnose, and evaluate diesel-powered machinery and equipment
Service, repair, and maintain mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems
Work on Mobile Elevating Work Platforms (MEWP), telehandlers, and lighting towers
Perform preventive maintenance and scheduled servicing
Conduct pre-delivery inspections to ensure operational readiness
Troubleshoot and repair diesel and gas engines, transmissions, and air brake systems
Dismantle, repair, and reassemble engines and mechanical components
Test and adjust repaired systems to ensure proper performance
Complete service reports and maintain accurate documentation
Maintain tools and work areas in a safe and clean condition
Follow Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) policies and procedures
Participate in toolbox talks, safety briefings, and team activities
Assist in training apprentices when required

What we are looking for:

Minimum 5 years’ experience as a Diesel Motor Mechanic
Strong experience in mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems
Proven experience working on MEWP, boom lifts, scissor lifts, forklifts, telehandlers, and generators
Experience with trucks, buses, and other diesel-powered equipment
Ability to diagnose and repair faults using both manual and computer-based tools
Strong knowledge of safety and operational standards
Good English communication skills (written and verbal)
Ability to provide supporting documents for visa processing
Overseas experience is an advantage
Reliable, detail-oriented, and able to work independently and within a team
